Qualifications

Each member of the Applicant’s household must be age 61 or older by the end of the current year. Each member of the Applicant’s household must execute a Rental Eligibility Application. All apartment units are subject to a maximum household income limitation due to the compliance requirements of certain applicable governmental regulatory agreements and housing assistance programs which enable the Landlord to offer affordable rents to age and income-qualified households.

35 percent of area median gross income:
One-person household = $21,280
Two-person household = $24,325

60 percent of area median gross income:
One-person household = $36,480
Two-person household = $41,700

Income verification is required of all members of Applicant’s household with respect to the aggregate anticipated household income over the ensuing 12-month period. Annual re-certification of income is also required, but has no impact on future rents or eligibility.

 



Each building offers a large recreation room on the main level. The recreation rooms are furnished with a big screen television and VCR for the enjoyment of our residents. We also have an assortment of games, cards, and puzzles for use in the recreation room. For those who wish to participate, bingo and monthly potlucks are arranged.

Our three downtown apartment buildings are located near banks, grocery stores, retail shopping, Eagles Club, craft stores, antique stores, post office, park, and cafes. A free shuttle offers transportation to Safeway, K-Mart, Downtown Kent, Kent Senior Center, Top Foods, Target, and Kent's Group Health, Multicare, and Virginia Mason medical clinics. The shuttle stops near our apartment buildings every 30 minutes, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday.
